In July 2021 Turtle Beach shared a new college student gamer study that showed Turtle Beach’s exclusive, patented Superhuman Hearing audio setting improves gaming performance. In a recent study conducted in partnership with Real Industry – an educational nonprofit transforming how students interact with industry – Turtle Beach put over 100 college student gamers to the test playing a variety of popular games, including Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Fortnite, to see what effect using Superhuman Hearing had on their gameplay performance. Turtle Beach’s Superhuman Hearing amplifies key in-game sounds like approaching enemy footsteps and nearby weapon reloads, incoming enemy vehicles carrying reinforcements, and more. The study found that with Superhuman Hearing enabled, gamers increased their average gameplay time by nearly 20% and improved their in-game stats by over 40%.

Turtle Beach announced a partnership with GLSEN to support GLSEN’s efforts to ensure all students feel safe and supported, regardless of sexual orientation or identity. Turtle Beach and GLSEN worked closely over the next year to support LGBTQ+ students in the classroom and in any of their virtual experiences while gaming. Additionally, there were opportunities for Turtle Beach employees and influencers to engage with the organization and students to amplify the two organizations’ combined initiatives.

Turtle Beach reports record Q4 and FY’2020 results. Net revenue in 2020 reached the highest level of annual sales in Turtle Beach’s history, at $360.1 million, up 53% compared to $234.7 million in 2019. The revenue increase was driven by strong demand for gaming accessories among both new and existing gamers as well non-gaming usage of headsets by people working and learning from-home, especially following stay-at-home orders initiated in March of last year. In addition, the launches of new console video game console systems from Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox helped spark additional consumer demand. The launch of new PC accessories led to a more than doubling of sales of ROCCAT PC headsets, mice and keyboards.
